The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders are a Tier 1 junior ice hockey team that plays in the East Division of the United States Hockey League. At first the team was based in Madison City and known as the North Iowa Huskies. The new name, Rapid RoughRiders was chosen in a contest. The team’s home ice is the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena and the team has been to post season play the last 6 years consecutively.
