The Historical and Coal Mining Museum is a 1903 built post office and at present it is a museum. This museum has a collection of the settlement period of 1843. Some of the exhibits depict the pioneer farm and village along with a historic post office display. There is also detailed information on the 1846 Mormon Trail with maps and artifacts. The research library has plat books and histories too.
