The city of Davenport is very much ahead of its time when it comes to celebrating lifestyle and culture. Also known as the city of events this city has loads to offer to the common man. There are many parks but the Vander Veer Park is the largest park around. The park has some of the finest botanical plants and also a beautifully created fountain. The surroundings of this park are done by Queen Anne and large Tudor style houses which are fascinating to watch. The Davenport Skybridge is another interesting feature to watch. Then there is the Figge Art museum which holds a large collection of artifacts and other stuff. There are some other museums also for music lovers. This place also has the very popular IMAX theatre where movie watching can be a real life experience. Talking of the festivals is the Bix Festival which is a three day musical festival and hosts everything from Jazz to rock and metallic. Also the Great Mississippi Valley fair is organized here which holds grand concerts, food and carnivals.
