The Iowa State in the United States has the Warren County wherein lies a city called as Indianola. This city is the county seat of Warren County and is a section of the Des Moines – West Des Moines Metropolitan Statistical Area. Indianola is the home of a liberal arts college of the United Methodist Church called as Simpson College. The elevation of this city is 968 feet. The gross area of this city is 9.2 square miles which is entirely covered by land. The southern terminus of the Summerset Trail is located in this city. This city is the host of the National Balloon Classic which is an annual program.
As per the 2000 census, the population of Indianola was 12,998.
