In the state of Iowa in the United States, there is a county known as Johnson County. It is named after the 9th Vice-President of the United States, Richard Mentor Johnson. The gross area of the county is 623 square miles out of which 614 square miles is covered by land while 9 square miles are filled with water. The Johnson County is bounded by Benton County towards the Northwest, Iowa County towards its West, Washington County towards its Southwest, Muscatine and Louisa County towards the Southeast, Cedar County towards the Northeast and Linn County towards the North.
