LeMars is a small town, with small town accommodations. There are several high quality restaurants, a small theater, and a wealth of community/volunteer entertainment options. Don't expect big name shops or retail centers. Regional transport and taxi service is available, but don't expect regular bus stops.

Great community to live in...but property taxes are unreal and very expensive. This is partially due to building two high schools. Property taxes just continue to go up and never get any cheaper.
