Pella can be described as a city located in County of Marion, Iowa, US.
 
Pella is home to ‘Central College’; apart from a number of manufacturing companies; inclusive of ‘Vermeer Manufacturing Company’. As per US Census Bureau, area of Pella on the whole is 17.7 sq. Km (all land).

The city ‘Pella’ had been founded in the year 1847 when 800 Dutch immigrants which were led by ‘Dominee Hendril P. Scholte’ went on to have settled in this area. The name ‘Pella’ was suggested by Scholte after ‘Pella’ located in Asia Minor’; that was the place of refuge with regards to ‘early Christians’. Besides, it was Wyatt Earp’s childhood home.

The present scenario is such that Pella goes on to feature numerous local events as well as architectural sights. ‘Vermeer Mill’ is a completely operational windmill which can be traced to 1850s. Its height is 41 meters.

The population of Pella as per 2000 census was 9832.
