Attractions and Places to visit Sioux City

This park stands on north-western corner of Sioux City. It has gained reputation of being the greatest spot on the local level with regards to mountain biking. It has been around 3 decades now. A wide spectrum of ‘prairie plants’ can be found over here. These varieties are inclusive of penstermon, yucca, silky aster, blazing star, pasque flower, and many such ones. Animals such as white-tailed deer, wild turkey, coyote, red fox, etc. are found over here. Birdlife is inclusive of barred owl, turkey vulture, ovenbird, towhee, and many more.

Exposed bedrock within the park comprises of shale, lignite, limestone, sandstone, etc. and can be traced back to Cretaceous period. As such, marine fossils would be found in abundance. Picnickers can have a blast over here. Butterfly garden located within is only one of its kind.
