Dodge City county seat and a city in Ford County. It has got its name from Colonel Richard Irving Dodge.
The name of the city has gained popularity with the Americans, thanks to the television programme Gun smoke, which was set in Dodge City.
It has a minor league basketball team, named as the Dodge City Legend.
It is, many times named as a meat packing capital of the Unites States, as it processes close to 12000 cattle. It is the largest beef processing plants in the country.
Its a fun town if you are new to it, but if you have lived in it your whole life like i have, its kinda boring. i have lived here for almost 18 years and i cant wait to get out. it's getting to crowded and everyone is getting dumb. the school dont teach much at all. The best places i can think of to go is the Rodeo, United Wireless arena, race track, and Boot Hill. The food here is great. you would love it.

It was a blast. I've been there ten times out of my 17 years of life. I had a lot of fun. It's a family-type of vacation.
