Tourist Guide Halstead

Halstead is a small but important city in the County of Harvey situated in the province of Kansas in the United States. This city is small as compared to its area but is considered important because of its vast history that has been developed over the years. The main thing that is interesting out here is that though being a city in the United States where Christianity reigns supreme, this city was founded by the Russian people. These were the Russian Mennonites, who were immigrants to this place and helped in its development. This city is named after the famed journalist Murat Halstead. There are wide fields here that show the progress of agriculture here. A special variety of wheat called the ‘Red Winter’ is famous here. The city is blessed with the waters of two river bodies, the ‘Arkansas River’ and the ‘Black Kettle Creek’, both of which are important water sources. The area of this city barely measures up to 3.4 square kilometres which is inhabited by a little more than 2,124 residents.
