Hutchinson can be described as the biggest city located in as well as county seat with respect to county of Reno, Kansas, US.

Hutchinson stands at the distance of 63 Km on the north-western side of Wichita; along the ‘Arkansas River’. This place has obtained the sobriquet ‘The Salt City’. ‘Kansas State Fair’ gets hosted every September. Moreover, in the month of March, NJCAA, i.e. National Junior College Athletic Association Basketball Tournament gets held. This city also houses Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center aerospace museum.

As per US Census Bureau, area of Hutchinson on the whole comes out to be 54.9 sq. Km; out of which 0.33%25 consists of water.
Hutchinson city was discovered in 1871. At that time, C C Hutchinson, an Indian Agent contracted with Santa Fe Railway for making a town over Arkansas River at crossing of the railroad.

As per census conducted in the year 2000, Hutchinson’s population was 40787.
