At the time of final illness on the part of Thomas H Bowulus in the year 1960, he happened to write a will stating that estate of his be utilized for building and equipping a ‘fine-arts’ center. This will has also defined the center’s mission; i.e. of widening area youth’s cultural background and make provisions for entertainments, programs, and facilities that otherwise seem to be unavailable.
