Based on area, Olathe is the 4th largest city in the metropolitan area of Kansas City. Olathe city is bordered by Lenexa city on the northern side, Gardener city on the southwest and Overland Park on the east. Olathe is ranked 13th in the list of '100 Best Cities to Live in the United States'.
Olathe experiences warm summers, in which the temperature may rise up to 70 degree Fahrenheit. The winters are colder than other regions of the Texas State. July is the warmest month of the year.
