Parsons is located in the northern part of Labette County to the south east of Kansas in United States.
The city was named after Levi parsons who was the president of the Missouri Kansas Texas railroad. The city was founded in the year 1870 an was incorporated in the next year. At the time of World War II this place was the home for Kansas Army Ammunition Plant.
