Having settled for the first time in the year 1856 along Smoky Hill rivers and Saline and having discovered by William A Phillips in the year 1858, Salina stands at intersection of I-135 and Interstate Highways I-70 in Kansas’s central region.
Salina has been reported to be one of the principal cities of Salina Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is inclusive of every county of Ottawa and Saline.
