Shawnee Mission Park
Shawnee Mission Park can be described as a 1250 acre, multi-use park in Shawnee. It was bought via initial ‘bond issue’ of the district in the year 1956. The official dedication took place in the year 1964. Shawnee Mission Park houses loads of developed facilities inclusive of fishing, a lake (120 acres), sail boarding, several picnic areas, 12 shelters, play areas, nature trails, archery range, dog off-leash area (5acres), Shawnee Mission Park beach, pedal boats, 2-person sailboats, fishing boats (on rent), and many more.
