Wichita-Sedgwick County is an area in Wichita, Kansas rich in history that is honored in The Wichita-Sedgwick County Historical Museum. Located at 204 South Main, this museum is dedicated to preserving and presenting the local history. The museum resides in the original City Hall building that dates back to 1890. This striking four-floor building is an exhibit in itself, with a beautiful exterior to beckon you and interior to guide you along your tour. Some notable exhibits include the recreation of a typical Victorian Wichita cottage, a 1916 Jones Six automobile and a short film on the history of aircraft manufacturing in Wichita. The museum offers guided tours and educational programs for students and children.
