The Mammoth Cave National Park is one of the National Parks in United States Central Kentucky which also encompasses portions of the Mammoth Cave, the greatest cave system in the world. The park became a national heritage site and also an International Biosphere Reserve from the September 26 1990 onwards. The area of the park is 52,830 acres of land situated in Edmonson county in Kentucky. It is centrally located surrounding the Green River with its tributary – the Nolin River which feeds the green river inside the park.
The service provided by the park organizes several cave tours for its visitors. The cave has many attractions, among them the Grand Avenue, Frozen Niagara and Fat Man’s Misery can be toured within a span of one – six hours at a stretch. There are also wild tours which are also been organized in various developed parts of the cave, where there are mud-covered crawls and grubby tunnels. There are lectures which are been delivered by the guides, who are very much knowledgeable and are always ready to answer the questions of the visitors.
