Corbin can be described as a city located in Knox and Whitley counties within south-eastern part of Kentucky, US.
Urbanized region surrounding Corbin goes on to extend in to Laurel County. The region, called North Corbin, has not been incorporated in to city limits, owing to state law which prohibits city places from being in greater than 2 counties.
Most of the area of North Corbin has been served by public services.
As per US Census Bureau, area of Corbin on the whole comes out to be 19.2 sq. Km (all land). Summer season would prove to be the best period to pay a visit.
Corbin is smaller ‘principal city’ with respect to Corbin-London CSA, i.e. Combined Statistical Area which is inclusive of Corbin (Whitley County); and much greater London micropolitan areas.
According to census conducted in the year 2000, population of Corbin was 7742; with its density being 403.9 per sq. Km.
