Fort Knox which is also called as the United States Bullion Depository is situated in Kentucky between Louisville and Elizabethtown. The province of Hardin has the control over the U.S. Army Armor Center and the School. The crews of Army and Marine Corps are trained on the M1 Abrams main battle Tank which is produced in the United States and named after the former Army Chief of Staff, General Creighton Abrams. He was the Commander of Us military forces in the year from 1968 to 1972 in Vietnam.In U.S. Army, following are the memorable events:Infantry, 14th June 1775: On June 14, 1775, Continental Congress authorized the Ten Companies of Riflemen. On 3rd June, 1784, First American Regiment was formed.Adjutant General’s Corps: This position is in function since June 16, 1775. It was amended in the year1950. In the year 1964, a film named Gold finger was released. This film is based on the gold smuggler Auric Gold finger planning an explosion inside the Fort Knox gold Depository. But from the safety point of view, shooting inside the Fort Knox was not allowed. So an artificial set was prepared to display the interior part.
