Frankfort does not have a commercial airport and all the travelers fly into the Bluegrass Airport which is in Lexington and the Louisville International Airport. However there is a capital city airport which is situated one mile southwest of Frankfort in Kentucky. It is used for charter flights and general avaiation purpose.
