Kentucky is one of the central-eastern states of the USA. It is bounded by West Virginia in the east, Missouri in the west, Ohio in the north and Tennessee and Virginia in the south. It is the only state to be bordered on three sides by rivers: the Mississippi River in the west, the Big Sandy River in the east and the Ohio River in the north.
