Louisville Science Center; since its inception in the year 1871, has made a mark for itself; right from having found ‘cabinet of curiosities’ to being a leading resource with respect to informal ‘science education’. It can boast of around 150 science exhibits at present; apart from 4-storey IMAX theater, teaching laboratories, educational programs, and various distance learning abilities. In the year 2002, Kentucky General Assembly had designated it as ‘State Science Center of Kentucky’.
