The Muhammad Ali Centre pays homage to a man and his values. It is situated in Louisville, Kentucky on the West Main District, downtown.
The 6-story high building was opened in 2005 and covers 96,750 sq ft. It also has over 40,000 sq ft indoor space containing 2-levels of amphitheatre and plaza.
It contains inspiring exhibitions illustrating Ali’s core beliefs and values. His life from birth till the present is depicted in the Orientation Theatre. A mock boxing-ring is constructed on the lines of Deer Lake Training Camp. His boxing history and memorabilia are featured in a 2-level pavilion.
Ali’s greatest fights are projected, and are also available for sale.
Over five thousand titles comprising of painting and drawings gathered from around 141 countries are displayed in the ‘Hope and Dream’ and ‘Global Voices’ exhibits.
The Howard L. Bingham Gallery and the LeRoy Neiman Gallery offer rotating exhibits.
