In its history of 38 years, Louisville Zoo is in to education, recreation, scientific study, and conservation of wild species. It had been accredited by AZA, i.e. American Zoological Association in the year 1980. One would find around 1300 animals on the exhibit over here. They are being set up in mixed and naturalistic animal settings; thereby having represented every habitat or biome. They are inclusive of African Veldt, Australian Outback, Aquatics, South and North American Panorama, and Asian Plains.
