Murray in Kentucky has a number of entertainment venues including museums, parks, theaters and sport venues. There are twenty five Baptist churches including the Church of Christ, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Episcopal and others. One can visit the Clara M. Eagle museum which houses more than thousand permanent artworks in its multi-level art gallery.
The Murray State University houses the Wrather West Kentucky museum which is included in the National Register of Historic Places. It is one of the highlights as it displays the cultural, social and economic development of the people through its various exhibitions. The Murray Central Park offers a number of basketball courts, soccer fields, baseball fields and picnic spots. The Curris Center Theater and Cheri Theater show a number of films. Playhouse in the Park is a community theater which showcases musicals, children’s plays, comedies and dramas all throughout the year.
