Newport is a city situated at the convergence of the Licking and Ohio River in Campbell County in Kentucky.


The city lies in the Bluegrass Region in the south of USA. The city has a perfect blend of modern and antique facilities.

According to census 2000, the city has a total population of 17, 048 people and is becoming an entertainment hub with its growing number of restaurants and its developing riverfront.


The city has a humid subtropical climate with July being the warmest month and January the coldest. 


The city gets 40 inches of rainfall and snowfall of 8 inches on an average. The city was earlier reputed to be a Sin city because of its expensive gambling casinos which were later replaced by strip clubs, but is now turning to family friendly tourism with the plans of developing its riverfront.


The Newport Riverfront is the most sought after location which hosts a number of events and festivals all through the year.
