Richmond is a name which does full justice to its name as this city is rich in commercialism, religion as well as in culture.
It is situated in the county of Madison in the state of Kentucky placed in the United Kingdom. Area wise it is the fifth largest city in the state.
The measured area of this city is 4909 square kilometres. The city is in the north eastern part of Kentucky and is close to Milford and the city of Virginia. It is also known for its contribution to education as the Eastern Kentucky University has its pillars standing upright in this city.
The population here is vast i.e. 30,008 and comprises of Americans, both Whites and Blacks and also some minorities.
Richmond is also the most crucial city of the Richmond- Berea Statistical Area, which is a very reputed group of cities. The history of this city dates back to the year 1798.
It was founded by Colonel John Miller. Indian tribes used to live here for a long period of time.
