It is worthwhile to visit the Medal of Honor Park and Museum which honors medal winners all over the country especially the recipients of the state of Louisiana. There is a Military museum, granite monument, historical tree trail and picnic spots to visit as well.
Southern Seaplane is one of the major attractions in Belle Chasse where one can enjoy views of the abundant wildlife, the winding Mississippi River, various bayous, swamps and marshes of Louisiana from the plane. There are guided fishing trips provided to the barrier islands in Louisiana as well through these air charters.
There are custom designed air tours available to suit all budgets. Belle Chasse also has a number of restaurants, bars and lounges where one can relax. The Plaquemine Parish Seafood Festival in the month of May is held as a harvest festival where visitors can enjoy delicious seafood specialties and music. Bayou Barataria is a golf course in Belle Chasse for those who enjoy golf.
