Destrehan Plantation is a historic home and is one of the majestic houses in Destrehan, standing on the banks of the river Mississippi. Destrehan Plantation was established in the year 1787 and is one of the oldest plantations of this city. The sands of Louisiana seem to be stand still at this plantation. This plantation home also hosts various events that include private parties’ weddings and other ceremonies.
