St. Emma Plantation is recorded on the National Register of Historic Places and is a nineteenth century Greek revival style house with furnished antique furniture. The Sunshine Festival held in the month of November has a number of delicious fares served along with live entertainment, arts & craft, historic displays and rides. The glorious cathedral the Ascension of Our Lord has an impressive structure and looks imposing with its regal design. The cemetery of the church is included in the National Register of Historic Places.
