The city of Eunice is situated in Acadia and St. Landry in Louisiana. The records of the year 2007 speaks that the population of the Eunice was 11,475. The people of Eunice experience rainfall throughout the year which is equally distributed. The month of August is the warmest and the month of January is the coolest of all the months. It rains heavily in the month of January.Eunice is located in the center of Cajun city and therefore Cajun music is common and very famous here. Also on every Saturday night, a live Cajun music show is held here at the Liberty Theatre which is very old. In the year 1997, Cajun Music Hall of Fame and Museum was instituted. People here celebrate the festival of Mardi Gras Day in the month of February or March before Ash Wednesday. It is celebrated since early 19th century which was stopped for few years during the period of World War II and it was again started in 1946.
