Tourist Guide Metairie
The Metairie city is found to be present in the Parish of Jefferson in the state of Louisiana in the US. It has been declared as a census-designated place (CDP). This city shares borders with New Orleans and is also the largest community in this Parish. The meaning of the word ‘Metairie’ is very weird and means a type of tax in French. The location of this city is in the eastern Jefferson Parish with the town of New Orleans to the east. In the western side, it has the town of Kenner. It also has an important clear water source i.e. Lake Pontchartrain on its northern side. It is well connected by airlines and highways to all the major cities and capitals of the respective province. There is also the 17th Street Canal which always makes its presence felt and wanted. The area of this land is 60.2 sq. kilometres. The climate here can be very hot during the summers and just below average in the winters. Precipitation rate here is high.
