The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival is also known as Jazz Fest, and is held annually in New Orleans to celebrate the music and culture of New Orleans and Louisiana. The Jazz Fest also features many shows at unaffiliated New Orleans nightclubs scheduled during the Festival event weekends with 12 stages of enchanting music including jazz, gospel, Cajun, zydeco, blues, R&B, rock, funk, African, Latin, Caribbean, folk etc. The Festival has seen most of the great artists of New Orleans and Louisiana including Professor Longhair, Fats Domino, The Neville Brothers, Wynton Marsalis, Dr. John, Branford Marsalis, Harry Connick Jr., Ellis Marsalis, The Radiators, The Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Allen Toussaint, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Better Than Ezra, Vernel Bagneris, The Zion Harmonizers and many more.
