The public transportation is operated by the New Orleans Regional Transit Authority that connects the city and suburban areas. There are three active streetcar lines that move by electric motors, of these the St. Charles line is the oldest operating streetcar line in New Orleans. The city is served by rail via Amtrak. The New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal, the central rail depot is served by three trains namely the Crescent, the City of New Orleans and the Sunset Limited. The city has several regional airports located throughout the metropolitan area. The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is the major airport located in the suburb of Kenner.
