There is a wide choice of options for shopping from designer boutiques, specialty shops, malls and galleries to old world marketplaces.

The French Market here is America’s oldest public market and the Royal Street here is known for its antique and elegant furniture décor and jewelry.

The Arts District or Warehouse is well known for its upscale and modern art galleries.

The Shops at Canal Place are popular for designer boutiques and specialty shopping. Families can enjoy shopping at the Riverwalk Marketplace, where along with shopping one can eat at the giant food court as well as enjoy the river views.

In Jefferson Parish there are a number of shopping avenues with more than hundred stores under one roof. The Esplanade Mall is close to the airport and Lakeside Shopping Center is in the heart of Metairie, both of which have tax free shopping options.

One can find everything here under the sun from antiques and gifts to apparels, accessories and jewelry. The Magazine Street is like a dream come true with a range of galleries, boutiques, spas, cafes, Victorian cottages and more.
