Pineville is a famous city located in the Rapides Parish, Louisiana in the United States of America. Pineville is situated adjacent to the city of Alexandria and it is also a part of the city's Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city is situated at a latitude of about 32 degrees and a longitude of 92 degrees and is about 40 meters above sea level. According to the 2000 census the population in the city was found to be around 13,829. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town is supposed to have a total area of about 12.1 square miles, out of which 11.5 square miles is in land and the remaining 0.6 square miles is under water. The city has two famous and unique museums: The Louisiana Maneuvers Museum and the Old Town Hall Museum depicting the ancient civilization of the city. The climate here is good enough to survive with average temperatures varying around 22 degrees. The city receives about 80 %25 of sunshine in the month of June and July.
