The James K. Polk Memorial has been built in the memory of the 11th president of the United States of America, James K. Polk. The memorial includes a visitor center and several reconstructions of home and adjacent grounds occupied by a family. The memorial is open from 9am until 5pm except on Sunday and Monday which are the official off days in Pineville. Apart from this special events are being held here throughout the year.
