Ruston was founded in 1883 by Robert E Russ and was incorporated as a town in 1884. This city is the parish seat of Lincoln Parish in Louisiana. Ruston city is situated on the eastern border of the Ark-La-Tex and is the principal city of the Ruston Micropolitan Statistical Area.
