The Slidell Museum has exhibits on Slidell history and of the Civil War situated in Louisiana. It has displays of life in the Pontchartrain area. Originally, it was the Slidell City Hall and Jail. At present, the collections at the museum cover the span of 150 years which depict the changes in the life styles in the Pontchartrain Lake area.
