Woodmere is a very famous place located in the Louisiana state situated in United States of America. It is considered to be a census designated place in Louisiana. This city has New Orleans City to its north, Timberlane to its north east and Houston city to its west. Hence it is a part of the New Orleans Metropolitan Statistical Area. According to the 2000 census the population in the city was found to be around 13,058. But the population has tremendously shown a fair increase every year. According to the US Census Bureau, the town is supposed to have a total area of about 3.8 square miles, out of 3.7 square miles is in land and the remaining 0.1 square miles is under water. Maximum portion of the area is thus covered by land which makes the place suitable for agricultural purposes. The religion followed here is Christianity. The climate here is moderate throughout the year experiencing cold winters and hot summers. The average temperature here in maximum part of the year is 20 degrees.
