Zachary is located in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana in United States.
This placed has achieved growth tremendously and that has increased the price of land in the recent years. Apart from this, the city has a renowned school which is one of the reasons for drawing population to this place.
The place was named after a farmer who had this land which is now turned into present day Zachary. The city’s first post office got incorporated in the year 1885 and the city came into existence in the year 1889.
According to the first census in the year 1914, the estimated population was 419 people. Although there was a displacement in the population due to Hurricane Katrina but later on the population intensified.
With a total area of 61.1 square kilometer this place experiences a moderate climate. According to the census of 2000 the estimated population is 11,275 that include a mixed population reflecting a mixed culture
