One can spend some time in solitude in Port Hudson State Historic Site park either by taking a walk or by a wheel chair. With a total area of 909 acre and outdoor canon displays, it has a museum with an audio visual program and artifacts that take gives an insight to the historical times. Some special events and Costumed rangers gives an outstanding experience about education. One can also observe beautiful hardwood forests at this site.
