A National Historic Landmark, the Old Fort was built in 1754 and one of America’s oldest wooden forts. It reminds of the 250 years old past and the culture that were present in New England. A Boston Based company, Kennebec Proprietors built the Fort along the Kennebec River. Farming tools, ceramics and crockery are some of the artifacts one can see here.
