Bar Harbor is a small town situated on the Mount Desert Island in the Hancock County of Maine region. The population of the area is 4820 and the city houses Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory, Jackson Laboratory and College of the Atlantic.
Bar Harbor houses the large portions of Acadia National Park which include Cadillac Mountain whose highest point is within 25 miles of the coastline in eastern United States region.
