Abbe Museuma
Tourists who desire to enhance their knowledge about the history of the City of Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island shall visit this museum. The exhibits keep changing with some past exhibits including woven baskets by numerous North American tribes, prehistoric tools made by bones and riches of artifacts excavated from sites nearby.
Criterion Theater and Arts Center
This is a well known and notable landmark in Bar Harbor and appears on the list of Registered Historic Places in Maine. This was opened to the public about 80 years ago and tourists can enjoy many concerts staged here within the Bar Harbor Jazz Festival.
Bar Harbor Whale Museum
This museum is perfect and fascinating place for a perfect family outing houses many magnificent skeletons of underwater mammals. Museum educates the tourists about the various present issues faced by the commercial whales and the dangers faced by the whales of being endangered.
