The city is home to several minor league teams. The Portland Sea Dogs, a division of the Boston Red Sox, playing in the Hadlock Field is from this city. Another team in the city is the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League. The Cumberland County Civic Centre is used by a division of the Anaheim Ducks. The Portland Sports Complex, located between Park Avenue and Brighton Avenue is home to several stadiums and recreational centres such as : Hadlock Field - baseball (capacity 7,368), Fitzpatrick Stadium - football, lacrosse, field hockey (capacity 6,000), Portland Exposition Building - basketball, concerts (capacity 2,000), Portland Ice Arena - hockey and skating (capacity 400)
Portland has 11 golf courses, 124 tennis courts and 95 playgrounds. There are about 160 km of nature trails.
Bridgton is accessible by interstate highways I-95 and I-295, in addition to the highway U.S. Route 1. U.S. Route 302, a long road that connects Maine and Vermont, has its eastern end in Portland.
