Tourist Guide Brunswick
Maine is one of the states that make up the United States and gets its name from the French province of Maine. Brunswick is small town located in the county of Cumberland.
The population of the town was estimated to be 21,172 according to the census of 2000. Bowdoin College is located in the town of Brunswick.
The town covers a total area of 54.2 sq miles. Brunswick lies at the head of Casco Bay and is surrounded by Topsham to the north, Bath to the northeast, Durham to the northwest, Freeport to the southwest, Harpswell to the south and West Bath to the east.
Part of the northern border is defined by the river Saint John and St. Francis River St. Croix is part of the south-eastern border, the river and Salmon Falls, the south-western boundary.
Its main cities are Augusta (the capital), Portland, Lewiston, Bangor, Auburn and South Portland. Maine is close to Louisiana, one of the only U.S. states with a strong tradition.
