Chebeague Historical Society

The Chebeague Historical Society was founded in 1984 and has grown multi-fold to educate the people about the island. This year (2008-09) the Society will be exhibiting explores from the World War-II and from the island itself. The Historical Society aims at improving the lives of the people of the island. The society preserves the antiquities and documents of the island’s present and past incidences. It has various collections of artifacts, photographs; information about the community’s past and also holds an exhibition on a yearly basis. There is a Board of the Society, which contains members and volunteers for the assembly of research and exhibits.
