Howland settled as a city in the year 1818.The city was the birth place of Dr. Percy Spencer, he had invented the Microwave oven. The former famous wrestler Scott Garland was born in Howland. This city had been named for passenger John Howland. The city follows the Eastern Standard Time Zone.
